LBS #1: Monitoring Tools and Evaluating Success for Community Landcare

19 May 2026 at 10:00am - 11:30am
Online via Zoom

Join WALN, and member groups Friends of Clontarf Hill and Bibbul Ngarma Aboriginal Association to chat about the plethora of monitoring tools that can be utilised on site to measure and evidence the incredible work that you, as community landcare, do on the ground.

Friends of Clontarf Hill will talk through how they utilise photo-point monitoring, TEC mapping, seedling survival plots and weed mapping to evidence progress to leverage future grant funding.

Bibbul Ngarma will then talk through their BoorYul-Bah-Bilya (BBB) project on the Mandoon Bilya (Helena River) catchment. This Traditional Owner led, first of its kind transferable plan utilises water quality sampling, fauna camera monitoring, eDNA sampling and how the group uses GIS to plan their work and monitoring sites and to commubitvate the bigger story.

This will be sure to be a fascinating session where we can share learnings about what's worked for groups and what's been a challenge and where there are opportunities! Bring your questions and we look forward to seeing you there.

This event is generously supported by the WA Government's State Natural Resource Management Program and the National Landcare Network.
