Vanessa Slater | Landcare Expertise Exchange Facilitator (LEEF)
Vanessa has over 20 years of NRM and environmental experience along with community engagement and empowerment. She grew up on a farm in the small Midwest town of Morawa, where her parents were active members of the local Landcare group. Vanessa’s working life has reflected this continued connection to the land through being a Landcare Coordinator supporting the communities and environment within the Shires of Dowerin and Goomalling for over 7 years and then working for the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale for the last 15 years managing natural areas and community groups in the per-urban interface. Vanessa has an interest in photography and is currently the president for the local Camera Club helping people to improve their skills.
